CODE: JKA-230S-1 Technological advancements combined with depleting supplies of natural resources have made it now less expensive to reclaim useful materials from used products than to harvest raw materials from the earth. Items such as used water and soda bottles can be converted into textiles and carpet. Old, worn out car tires can be converted into mats, sports surfacing and roadways. Obsolete electronics and children's toys can be shredded, processed in an automated recovery system, and converted into materials that are used to make similar products over and over again.
· Shredding is more than just a way to downsize waste for disposal. It is the first step in almost any recycling or material reclamation process. It is one way to help sustain our planet and way of life.
· The twin shaft shredders are versatile shredders designed for shredding many types of bulky material in the primary stage. The shredders are extremely rugged and have a strong support structure to withstand all loads. "SHREDDERS" are available in a wide range of electrical and hydraulic drive configuration.
· The housing is solid construction, bolted together. The bearing unit is separate and properly sealed to avoid damage from liquid and solid material, thereby increasing its life. The shredders have low speed, high torque, low noise, low dust and low maintenance. The blades are made from special hardened steel and are easily replaceable. The design of the blades varies according to the material being shredded. Higher capacity shredders are provided with two gear box system ensuring constant torque on both shafts. The shafts are counter rotating and hexagonal in design ensuring excellent griping of the blades.
· The twin shaft shredders are used for shredding of Medical Waste, Municipal Solid Waste, Wood, Tyres, Plastic, E-waste, Packing material, textile, Drum, Metals, oversize bulky waste, industrial waste, General Waste, Hazardous Waste, end of life equipment and other difficult to shred items.

Disc Screener
The Screens optimize the performance of industrial shredders, transforming the processing line into a more effective, flexible, and efficient system.
The mobile screener becomes a screening system with unsurpassed flexibility.
The sliding hopper is equipped with a dosing screw and enables operation in loop with all shredders: the material enters a processing circle consisting of a shredder and screen and exits only when its fractions reach the established size.
Technical Specification
Capacity: 2 Ton per Hr
Automation Grade: Automatic
Material: Mild Steel
Disc Screen Description
The Disc Screen consists of rotating discs for separating wastes through the clearance between the discs depending upon the size and the weight of the waste while the wastes move on the rotation discs.
10 to 20 discs are mounted on a long shaft depending on the working width of the screen and the number of the shafts are depending on the capacity of the screen.
These shafts simultaneously rotate by the driving force of the motor.
The screen holes of other size screens are easily clogged by wet wastes due to moisture.
The disc screen minimizes the clogging by the rotation movement of the discs.
Configuration in line after the shredder
Both the stationary screen and the mobile screener are placed in recycling lines after the shredder to separate the ground material into its different fractions.
This makes it possible to take advantage of multiple fractions of the recyclable waste processed.
The screener can also be equipped with diesel or electric drives, which means that it can either operate outdoors or indoors where zero harmful emissions are required.
Configuration in a line before the shredder
Both the stationary screen and the mobile screener can be placed before the shredder in the case of mixed materials to be separated before the shredding process.
An example is the processing of C&D (Construction and Demolition) or C&I (Commercial and Industrial), where the screen separates the fraction with commercial value from waste inert to prevent it from mixing during the shredding phase.
This prevents contamination of the valuable material and reduces wear on the shredder.
Configuration in line between a primary and a secondary shredder
In this scenario, either the stationary screen or the mobile screener is positioned between two shredders to process large quantities of material with the need to remove any dirt likely to produce excessive wear from the shredded material before the secondary shredder; size the clean and finished material (RDF -refuse derived fuel- or Woodchips) as an intermediate fraction; send clean and larger fractions to the secondary shredder.
The efficiency of screens enables the use of a less powerful secondary shredder.
Advantages
Save: It enable users to load the material just once with considerable savings on the cost of the loading equipment work cycles.
Optimize: The loop system ensures that the material leaves the screen only when the desired size is reached.
Simplify: The process eliminates the need for a secondary shredder with remarkable savings on investment and maintenance costs.
Enhance: The Screens makes it possible to increase the value of otherwise undifferentiated waste by recovering multiple fractions of recyclable material.
Reduces wear: Prevents the shredder from being loaded with material which will expose it to greater wear (like sand and stones)
Prevents contamination: Prevents valuable material from being contaminated with waste material
Energy savings: Reduces energy consumption by the shredder

It efficiently sorts and classifies waste materials by size, allowing for the separation of recyclables, organics, and larger items from the waste stream. Trommel machines are essential tools for optimizing MSW handling and promoting sustainable waste management practices.
The need of trommel machines in Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) management is indispensable due to the complex and diverse nature of urban waste. These machines play a critical role in several aspects of MSW handling and processing. Trommel machines are also crucial for preparing waste for further processing. Once materials are separated and contaminants removed, they can be more easily processed into secondary products. This includes shredding or compacting materials for recycling or converting organic matter into compost, which can be used to enrich soil in agriculture and landscaping. The need for trommel machines in MSW management lies in their ability to streamline waste handling, enhance recycling efforts, reduce landfill waste, and prepare materials for further processing. By aiding in the separation and classification of waste, these machines contribute to more sustainable and environmentally friendly waste management practices, promoting resource recovery and waste reduction.
Operation
Feeding Hopper Unit: Municipal Solid Waste is feed into the machine through an in feed hopper.
This is where waste is initially loaded onto the trommel for processing.
Feed Conveyors: A conveyor system transports the waste materials onto the trommel screen. This system ensures a consistent and steady flow of waste into the machine.
Trommel Screen: Trommel screen is installed in a small angle with the input end a little higher than the output end. Material fed into the trommel screen is lifted up by the rotation and aerated as it falls back down.
This action is repeated with each revolution along the length of the drum. The smaller fractions pass through the screen openings while the larger fractions tumble towards its eventual exit at the rear of the drum.
Process Conveyor: Smaller particles like fines and smaller recyclables, fall through the holes from the Trommel drum and are usually directed in process conveyor.
Reject Conveyor: After materials are separated by the trommel, they are directed towards specific discharge conveyor belts.
These Conveyor guide the materials to their respective sorting or processing areas.
Control Panel: A control panel allows operators to manage and monitor the machine's operation.
It includes controls for the motor, speed settings, and other operational parameters.

Item Code: JKA-230MSW A trommel machine in Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) management is a cylindrical, rotating drum equipped with perforated screens.
