The Plantar Test Analgesia Meter for paw stimulation can be used on 12 mice, 6 rats and other animals (cats, rabbits) unrestrained when testing for narcotic drugs. Experiments are easy to perform, simply slide the test head under test subject, align the heat source via our exclusive guide light (idle state) by the attached, adjustable, angled mirror on test head to test subject and perform tests.
Start, stop and reset of tests is done by either the push button on test head, front panel controls or supplied foot switch.
With our exclusive “idle state” of the heat source one is assured of exact placement of the heat source. Tests are performed on the plantar surface by a focused, radiant heat light source. The light beam is focused to the top of the glass and creates a 4X6mm intense spot on the paw.
Our method of visible light is superior to the infrared light method, since a user will not always know exactly where/when the test will start, causing false starts and conditioning of animals. A built-in timer displays reaction time in .01 second increments.
The height of the glass is adjustable allowing the focal point of the light to be adjusted to stimulate other body parts if needed. A Humane cutoff timer is standard. The unit can be preset for a cutoff period, at the end of which the heat source shuts off automatically if the animal has not responded, avoiding tissue damage. Our test head does not emit , clicking or whining noises that cause preconditioning of animals prior to test as with other systems on the market.
Our exclusive heated glass option eliminates the glass acting as a heat sink. This feature will eliminate the reaction time of the animals to be altered due to the fact that they are placed on cold glass allowing the possibility of delayed response time to the applied heat source. Built-in heating elements in the glass which are digitally controlled for consistent temperatures. •    Pipe surge and water hammer are two related but independent phenomena which arise when fluid flowing in a pipe is accelerated or decelerated. The associated pressure transients can be damaging to pipe work or components and systems must be designed to avoid or with stand them.

•        The equipment designed by clearly demonstrates the different effects resulting from gradual or instantaneous changes in fluid velocity. Effect of initial fluid velocity can also be investigated. Pipe surge resulting from a gradual change in fluid velocity is clearly seen as fluctuating changes in head in a surge shaft.

•        Water hammer resulting from a rapid change in fluid velocity is clearly seen as large changes in pressure monitored using a pair of transducers and indicated using an oscilloscope. The equipment comprises two stainless steel pipes connected to a constant head tank. A service module provides the water supply to the head tank and also incorporates a volumetric tank for flow rate measurement, sump tank, circulating pump and flow control valve.

•        Water enters the two test pipes via the constant head tank and discharges into the volumetric tank. A dump valve in the volumetric tank returns the water to the sump tank.

•        The pipe surge test section incorporates a clear acrylic surge shaft to enable visualization of its oscillatory characteristics to be demonstrated. A metric scale on the shaft permits the height of the oscillations to be measured. The test pipe terminates with a lever operated gate valve and separate flow control valve.

The oil is heated under vacuum using direct steam to provide the agitation for good heat transfer. When the desired pressure and temperature are achieved, the direct steam injection is adjusted to impart a high degree of turbulence to the oil, ensuring good physical contact of the steam with the oil. The impurities are carried over in the steam and condensed in the vacuum condenser, the resulting condensate blending with the vacuum pump sealant to be discharged to drain.

Polishing:

After deodorisation, the oil refining process is complete. The oil must therefore be free of any contaminants. Specifications Of Vibrating Table:-

The vibrating table is used for compacting concrete cubes and cylinders. It is designed to carry a load of 140 kg. The apparatus consists of a motor fitted with a variable pitch pulley housed in a cabinet. The vibrations are imparted by means of off-balance masses rotating on a shaft of a vibrator clamped to the underside of the table top. The table top is 50cm x 50cm. and has stops along its edges to prevent moulds from walking off the table during vibration. A cross arm adjustable on a vertical rod at the center of the table is provided to hold the moulds while operating the table. The variable pitch pulley arrangement permits the frequency to be varied steplessly between a maximum of 3600 vibrations down to 2600 vibrations per minute. Automatic Road Unevenness Recorder comprises of a trailer of single wheel with a pneumatic type mounted on chaise over which are installed profile recording and integrating devices. The machine has panel board fitted with two nos. of electronic counters for counting the unevenness index value. The digital meter for unevenness index value from 50 mtrs. To 1000 mtrs. For automatic displaying of UI values Data Storage in memory to display on panel board. The operating SPEED OF THE MACHINE IS 30 1-1/2 KM/Hr, and is towed by a vehicle. Its wheel on the pavement surface and the vertical reciprocating motion of the axle is converted into unidirectional rotatory motion by the integrator unit, the accumulation of this unidirectional motion is recorded by operating sensor inserted in the circuit of electronic counter once for every one centimeter of accumulated unevenness. Wheel revolutions are also indicated on the other electronic counter through a sensor actuated by the cam fitted on the hub of the wheel after every one meter of the wheel movement. There is an arrangement introduced for digital display of unevenness index value with a setting of distance form 50 mtrs, to 999 mtrs. In this arrangement suppose we get the distance value of 50 mtrs. Then after every 50 mtrs. We will get calculated U.I. Values on the digital meter In such manner we can set distance in 200 mtr, and so on upto 9999 mtrs. There is a memory of keeping UI values upto last 999 memories. The machine can be supplied with a pair of transportation wheels which will permit towing speed upto 60km/Hr, without disturbing the accuracy of the unevenness measuring wheel.A motor is fitted on the machine which is driven through the sensor and electronic controller form the wheel of the unit and the vertical motion of the axle drives a pen which marks on the moving recording paper. The pavement profile is recorded on the recording paper in the ration of 1:400 for and 1:1 unevenness of the road surface.
