The design is based on the guidelines set by Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB)-India and normally adopted by military installation all over the country and worldwide. The Efficient power is supplied by electricity as well as oil burners for larger installation.

GENERAL CONSTRUCTION :

Kitchen waste incinerator to incinerates food scrap items such as vegetable and fruit waste,meal leftovers, coffee grounds, tea bags, stale bread, grains, and general refrigerator spoilage are an everyday occurrence in most hotels, restaurants, households etc. Their innovative design provides fast, efficient free burning of waste. The waste is loaded and ignited manually through the top loading door. The flames are fed with primary air from the holes in the cleaning door which flows up through the grill floor and the air intake cone. Once burning has started,secondary air is drawn from the underside of the hood, which causes intense secondary combustion for the efficient destruction of the smoke and gases, making the incinerators virtually smoke free.The kitchen waste incinerator reduces the original bulk by 99% into a light, sterile ash which falls through the grill floor into the ash collection pit. The ash only needs to be removed when it builds up and not after every burn. When the first load has burned down, more waste can beadded.

Domestic waste incineration is the most advanced level of the waste disposal / treatment hierarchy: indiscriminate dumping, controlled dumping, landfilling, sanitary landfilling, and mechanical treatment. Incineration uses combustion to make infectious industrial waste harmless and reduce thewaste mass and volume by more than 90 percent. Proper incineration can convert certainwastes into gases and incombustible solid residues (e.g., ash) that are relatively harmless. Adual-chamber incinerator operated within the optimal temperature range of 850° to 1200°Cresults in a lower level of emissions. The gases from incineration are released into theatmosphere (with or without gas cleaning). Residue ash from proper incineration can beencapsulated in designated ash pits or controlled landfills without any major risk. However,when the conditions are not adequate—for example, when the waste is not properly segregatedor the incinerator is not properly constructed or operated—toxic compounds can be found inthe unburned waste, and harmful gases can be released into the atmosphere. Good planning,technical oversight, and sustained supportive supervision of incinerator systems are critical toensuring safe incineration. Waste incineration plants is operated in such a way as to achieve alevel of incineration such that the total organic carbon content of slag and bottom ashes is lessthan 3% or their loss on ignition is less than 5% of the dry weight of the material.

Air Pollution control device

Wastes to be incinerated are not chemically treated with any chlorinated disinfectants.

Ash from incineration of waste is disposed of at common hazardous waste treatment and disposal facility. However, it may be disposed of in municipal landfill, if the toxic metals in incineration ash are within the regulatory quantities.

Features:

To maintain designed heat capacity of the kiln, quantity of the solid waste injection package (kg/single injection) shall be adjusted w.r.t. calorific value of the waste feed.

When a high calorific value possessing solid waste is injected in packets, the size of each injection may be reduced, such that the peak CO concentration in the Kiln does not exceed too high in the initial stage, creating shooting of emissions to the secondary chamber, thereby crisis in ensuring the required retention time.

Appropriate slope (in general, 3 degrees), rotation rates and solid waste residence time (1-10 hrs) may be adjusted for the kilns, in order to achieve total organic carbon (TOC) and loss on ignition (LOI) requirements in the ash/slag.

To ensure life of refractory and insulation bricks, it is a practice to feed silica and glass in appropriate ratios to the kilns to form a cover over the refractory lining, as and when the thickness of the layer reduces.

It has been reported that reduction of out-side surface temperature of the rotary kiln enhances the life of refractory bricks and lining. Thus may be explored, where feasible.

In the rotary kiln, the temperature shall be maintained at 800+°C in order to ensure complete burning of solid waste. Controlled flow of air shall be maintained for complete volatilization of solid waste.

Ash removal doors are provided in the primary, secondary and settling chambers.

Temp. Indicator for Scrubber and stack ON/OFF switches, fuses, sensors, hooter etc. complete with in all respectfully lined with refractory materials and fitted with high quality packing to seal the door.

The chamber temperature is controlled by a PLC digital temperature controller.These products have separate doors for waste burning chamber and for ash collecting tray.A chimney is provided for emission of fumes. The incinerator reduces most combustible solid waste to nearly 2-3 percent by volume and upto 5% by weight.Large animal incinerator are easy to install and extremely durable equipment. It is available in varied capacity/sizes based on the requirement of Forest Department, Animal Industries andPoultry farms.

The disposal of waste is based on the principal of incineration of the waste so as to destroy any degradable and infectious material and reduce it volume and mass without producing any type of pollution.

DESIGN:
The design is based on the guidelines set by Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB)-India and normally adopted by military installation all over the country and worldwide. The Efficient power is supplied by electricity as well as oil burners for larger installation.

GENERAL CONSTRUCATION :

  • Robust, Reliable and Efficient.
  • Pre-fabricated 5 mm robust mild steel casing, seam welded & suitably stiffened/braced where necessary.
  • Paint finishing – The Mild steel structures are completely painted using a two pack high grade paint system that is baked into the steel structure at 70° C for 10 hrs.

Diaper Waste Incinerator : JKA-230DW

Diaper waste incineration is the most advanced level of the waste disposal / treatment hierarchy: indiscriminate dumping, controlled dumping, land filling, sanitary land filling, and mechanical treatment. Solid waste arises from residential societies :- Baby diapers and adult diapers and so on.

Diaper waste incinerator converts waste into ash Combustible gases at 1000°C in primary chamber Secondary Chamber temperature is raised up to 1450°C for at least 2 seconds to incinerate the wastes with a content of more than 1% of halogenated organic substances. The incinerator reduces most combustible solid waste to nearly 1-2 percent by volume and 3 percent by weight.

PRIMARY CHAMBER:

  • Fully insulated internal refractory lining constructed from high grade refractory brick ensuring a self supporting
  • Interlocked arrangement.
  • Manually operated access lid.
  • Waste ignition burner temperature controlled on-off complete with internal air fans.
  • A pre-cast blocks impact zone that protects the refractory lining when loading.

SECONDARY CHAMBER :

  • Fully insulated internal refractory lining, constructed from high grade low thermal mass insulation.
  • Secondary chamber burnout burner temperature controlled on-off complete with internal air fans.
  • Integrated combustion burner air fans with automatically controlled distribution to their designated area.
  • Temperature sensor mounting point of the chamber ensuring the chamber reaches the necessary temperature.

Air Pollution control device

Wastes to be incinerated are not chemically treated with any chlorinated disinfectants.

Ash from incineration of waste is disposed of at common hazardous waste treatment and disposal facility. However, it may be disposed of in municipal landfill, if the toxic metals in incineration ash are within the regulatory quantities.

Power Requirement: LPG, N-Gas, Diesel, Electrical

Features:

To maintain designed heat capacity of the kiln, quantity of the solid waste injection package (kg/single injection) shall be adjusted w.r.t. calorific value of the waste feed.

When a high calorific value possessing solid waste is injected in packets, the size of each injection may be reduced, such that the peak CO concentration in the Kiln does not exceed too high in the initial stage, creating shooting of emissions to the secondary chamber, thereby crisis in ensuring the required retention time.

Appropriate slope (in general, 3 degrees), rotation rates and solid waste residence time (1-10 hrs) may be adjusted for the kilns, in order to achieve total organic carbon (TOC) and loss on ignition (LOI) requirements in the ash/slag.

To ensure life of refractory and insulation bricks, it is a practice to feed silica and glass in appropriate ratios to the kilns to form a cover over the refractory lining, as and when the thickness of the layer reduces.

It has been reported that reduction of out-side surface temperature of the rotary kiln enhances the life of refractory bricks and lining. Thus may be explored, where feasible.

In the rotary kiln, the temperature shall be maintained at 800+°C in order to ensure complete burning of solid waste. Controlled flow of air shall be maintained for complete volatilization of solid waste.

Ash removal doors are provided in the primary, secondary and settling chambers.

Temp. Indicator for Scrubber and stack ON/OFF switches, fuses, sensors, hooter etc. complete with in all respectfully lined with refractory materials and fitted with high quality packing to seal the door.

Primary Rotating Chamber (keeps rotating at a low speed to ensure excellent quality of incineration).

Rotary incinerator equipped with feeder bucket elevator/ram feeder and conveyor for continuous waste feeding.

Static Secondary Chamber

Material of Construction – Heavy duty steel with higher thickness used in kiln and structures fabrication for extremely long life.

As new applications for rotary kilns continue to be developed, much experimental work is being done, prompting many questions and the need for further research and development. A rotary kiln is comprised of a rotating cylinder (called the drum), sized specifically to meet the temperature and retention time requirements of the material to be processed. The kiln is set at a slight angle, in order to allow gravity to assist in moving material through the rotating cylinder. Rotary kilns can be either of the direct-fired type, or the indirect-fired type (sometimes referred to as a calcine). In a direct-fired kiln, a process gas is fed through the drum, processing the material via direct contact. In an indirect fired kiln, material is processed in an inert environment, and is heated through contact with the shell of the kiln, which is heated from the outside to maintain an inert environment.

Operation

·         Feeding Hopper Unit: Municipal Solid Waste is feed into the machine through an in feed hopper.

·         This is where waste is initially loaded onto the trommel for processing.

·         Feed Conveyors: A conveyor system transports the waste materials onto the trommel screen. This system ensures a consistent and steady flow of waste into the machine.

·         Trommel Screen: Trommel screen is installed in a small angle with the input end a little higher than the output end. Material fed into the trommel screen is lifted up by the rotation and aerated as it falls back down.

·         This action is repeated with each revolution along the length of the drum. The smaller fractions pass through the screen openings while the larger fractions tumble towards its eventual exit at the rear of the drum.

·         Process Conveyor: Smaller particles like fines and smaller recyclables, fall through the holes from the Trommel drum and are usually directed in process conveyor.

·         Reject Conveyor: After materials are separated by the trommel, they are directed towards specific discharge conveyor belts.

·         These Conveyor guide the materials to their respective sorting or processing areas.

·         Control Panel: A control panel allows operators to manage and monitor the machine's operation.

·         It includes controls for the motor, speed settings, and other operational parameters.
