"Teknik" Student Electric Kymographs: (Recording Drums)

JKA-31 :

Drive mechanism consists of Constant speed electric motor and accurate Gear-box contained in the base together with robust plate clutch. Engagement of various gear ratios are effected by sliding the lever into the slot marked with surface speed or by a knob in seperate models.

6" dia main cylinder and Stainless Steel spindle have been standardized to make the same universal and interchangeable. Double electric contact arms are clamped on the main spindle and a stout double-contact block is fitted on top of the base.

Gear ratios i.e. 640 mm, 320 mm, 25 mm, 12.5 mm, 2.5 mm, 1.2 mm, 0.25 mm, and 0.12 mm per sec, are effected by sliding lever into the slot marked with 8-surface speeds.

Optional :

When longer records are needed a long paper extension device can be provided and fitted in position by a single set screw.

"TEKNIK" MUSCLE TWITCH ASSEMBLY :

JKA-7 : Useful for recording muscle contractions on a smoked paper around cylinder of a drum. The components of assembly are as under :

Straw  Holder :
JKA-83 : Consists of a spindle mounted on centres and having a spring collar for grapping straws and such like material to form a light lever.


"TEKNIK" Gimble  lever :
JKA-85 : Obviates extremely careful adjustments as the writing lever always falls towards the paper.

"TEKNIK" simple lever :

JKA-86 : stout construction duly chromium plated frame with stop at one end, interchangeable ¼" stem. The lever fits through axle pivoted between  centres and a thumb screw on the axle permits the lever to be adjusted for length.

"TEKNIK" Brodie universal lever :

JKA-87 :

levers are centered while screwing up the central screw. The stem screws into the head with various positions with adjustable spring supports, one plain lever, one notched lever with holes and one short lever.

JKA-88 : the levers can be fixed to the spindle in the center of which a vulcanite roller having 3 pin set at 900 on the central spindle. On one of these pins lever fits. Sliding through the frame is a rod carrying a spring that can be caused to bear against the roller its turning while other adjustments are made.

JKA-150 : Single cylinder pump with mechanically operated value. All metal construction. The driving cone has 3 slots of 6", 9", 12" dia and is accurately balanced. A 0.25 HP motor workable on 220V AC 50Hz single phase operates with the pump. The stroke is adjustable and is graduated in ccs upto 250cc. Motor coupled on adjustable castor wheeled base.

JKA-160 : As per the standard Brodie design; top 51"x18"x40" high, fitted all round with cleats; metal hot plate 24’x12' with heating chamber heated with two electric bulbs; removable 11"x 9" head piece; two stainless steel upright rods sliding in slots; dog holder with its upright and universal joint ; controlling switches.

Two partition shelves are provided for accessories etc.. Wheels and handles are fitted. The Brodie’s Anaesthetic Bottle and Air warmer is an optional accessory.

"Teknik" Operating Table (Improved) :
JKA-162 : A versatile design for variety of applications. Table top Stainless Steel size : 125x48 cms. With flat railing all along the length on both sides to take accessories. The table top is provided with drainage system, with fine vertical adjustment through latest pinion-lift system replacing hydrolic system. The frame is sturdy and provides sufficient leg space and is provided with foot-rest. The tie -cleats are of Stainless Steel and the equipment is provided with universal clamps for accessories, animal support plate and uprights which can be fixed to the side-rails in any desired position.

"Teknik" isolated organ bathS :
JKA-245 : Versatile and complete organ baths. Bath chambers made out of thick Transparent acrylic sheets, chemically welded to make them leak-proof. The chamber is measureing 12x9x8" (Depth) and is fitted on a metallic stand.
Temperature is achieved by 250 Watts heating elements and is thermostatically controlled. A suitable covered motor with propeller is suspended from top and clamped on to the bath wall with a support on metallic  frame ensuring vibration-free operation.
A compact control penal has been provided with independent switch for mains, stirrer and heater. The Neon lamp shall glow when the heater is on.
Supplied complete with two sets of glass inner vessels, oxygen tubes, Warming coils, fixit levers and holders. This bath is termed as 'Two-unit isolated bath'. The unit is workable on 220V AC 50Hz single phase.

JKA-247 :  (for isolated mammalian heart with dual Perfusion system.)
The unit mounted on a heavy iron base measuring 27x12". Two main uprights hold the equipment. Various parts of assembly are adjustable.
Two unit Isolated Bath with central  glass spiral through which the fluid passes is electrically heated and temp. is thermostatically controlled. Two light weight pullys are used to direct a thread from heart to lever.
Bath assembly complete with support, bottles, outlet chamber,oxygen tubes ,cannulae, heart lever and rubber tube. A manometer is provided which is adjustable vertically as well as horizontally.
The unit is complete in all respects with accessories required for various experiments.

"Teknik" Assembly for Mammalian classes :
JKA-248 : A versatile assembly serving both for heart perfusion and as on all-purpose thermostatic organ bath. The transparent perspex bath is 12"x9"x8" and rests on a metal stand: a 1"x3/8" thick edge at the top makes clamps etc. carrying the uprights and Temperature of the bath is regulated (CONSTANT). Thermostatic sensitivity ±2°C. The stirrer unit is completely independent, and dips into the bath in one corner, and fixes on its special stainless steel upright. A perspex connection box is fitted to the bath frame, and carries all the electric leads and connections. Two pilot lamps indicate the thermostat and stirrer operation. Extra accessories to enable the unit to be used as an all-purpose organ bath (2 unit) are:-
a)    Double set of glass inner vessels.
b)    Oxygen tubes.
c)    Warming coils.
d)    Levers with stainless steel capillary.
